Geotagging, Thing #16
Seemed like a cool option but really didn't find a good purpose for it.
* Did you explore any of the other geotagging services? How did they compare to Flickr?
I really didn't look to much into this one. Flickr seemed to do a good enough job to have me sold on it.
* How will you use this tool either personally or professionally?
I really didn't find the use for either personal or professional.
* Why would anyone ever want to geocache? Seriously, why? What is wrong with these people?
This option of networking photos just really didn't do anything for me at all, couldn't find a solid use for it.
Podcasting made easy, Thing # 15
89.3 the currents song of the day podcast.
2. Which of the directories did you find easiest to use?
Either one was fine I found most of them pretty easy to get to.
3. Has this Thing inspired you to do any podcasting yourself or to subscribe to a podcast to listen to it regularly?
Yes and no, I think it would be fun to get a group of people together and talk about fun stuff and just life in general.
4. If Walt Whitman were alive today (which I am certain that he is not), do you think he'd podcast? If so, what would he call his podcast? Would his parents listen to it? Why or why not? Discuss.
He would probably would Podcast maybe, I dunno but if he did he would for sure say why am I Podcasting when I could be writing this down. Cause like me I think he would say Technology is a pain and what is a computer. His parents well I don't think they would listen due to the fact hid parents were not the most supportive people in the world.
Research Project Calculators Thing, #14
I found this as a very use full way to keep you up date on your tasks for the assignment or project you are working on. I also found it very nice that the program will e-mail you reminders as to where you should be with your assignment; it almost seemes as if it was a good way to keep you on task and not let things get away from you.
2. Look at the supporting materials in the Teacher Guide. Are any of these useful to you?
I thought the materials in the teacher guide were very nice to see, It almost gives you a look at how a teacher might approach this information and a assignment that they might be giving to a class.
Online Poroductivity Thing # 13
I went with IGoogle, I really found this application the best. I really like being able to eliminate having to use the google search for research and many other things. All of the search engines are write at your finger tips (Images, News, maps, and anything else that you might be looking for.
2. Did you find a tool that has some uses for you at school or at home? Which tool(s) would you recommend to others?
Igoogle that's all I have have for this one.
3. How can the online calendars be useful to you?
Online calenders are nice, but I really don't have a use for them seeing how I really use my phone for most of calender planning.
4. What about the to-do lists—helpful, too much work…?
I really felt this was a lot of double work for day to day planning.
5. Did you try out Backpack? What did you think?
Back pack is truly a great option for any kind of Business person that is planning meetings, keeping them selves prepped for people you might be meeting with, and to keep your staff on the same page. This truly is a daily planner in digital format to help plan for Business.
6. Did you try any of the other tools in the list? Any good ones we should all try?
All I can say is IGoogle and backpack are both really great options to have on any level.
Online productivity tools, Thing # 13
I was sold on IGoogle, Loved this option for internet productivity and was a super easy application to navigate around. I now will no longer have to use Google search for topics images or anything like that at all. With IGoogle my options are all ready there with out having to make that extra step.
2. Did you find a tool that has some uses for you at school or at home? Which tool(s) would you recommend to others?

3. How can the online calendars be useful to you?
I didn't find a great use for these really at all. I have a smart phone that I do almost all of planning on.
4. What about the to-do lists—helpful, too much work…?
I really felt this was to much work and felt as if I might have been double doing things.
5. Did you try out Backpack? What did you think?
I thought Back pack was good option to have available. The only flaw that I might have seen in it was; what if you didn't have a lap top available at all time to make update on you calender or what about if one of your Business partners was also lacking the laptop option. This is a great tool for big box corporate people, but I could see where small Businesses might not need this. Overall I think it is a great option to have.
6. Did you try any of the other tools in the list? Any good ones we should all try?
I was way to impressed with IGoogle.

Tools and creative Graphics on Flickr Thing # 10
Flickr / I'm now on it yippie Thing # 9
Wiki Edit Thing # 8
Zoho and Google docs. Thing # 7
This is a great tool, holy crap if I would have know about this long before I would have been using this already. As a business person and always having to look at numbers and keeping spread sheets updated this tool should almost be an industry standard for company to communicate without having to clog up your inbox. Which I know we all find very frustrating.
How do the features of each compare?
I found them both easy to get access and create files to share with others. I did find that Google Docs its self was a little easier to navigate around in though.
Does one have features that would make you choose it over the other?
Not really, either one was pretty good and enjoyed both.
What would the Founding Fathers think of these tools?
Well I guess I will say that Benjamin Franklin would be mad because he didn't invent it himself.
Digg and Redit info Thing #6
Digg is a great source for you to keep up to date on the latest things that are going on in the real and what people are searching and looking at. It all leads back to the original person who is posting this information, and most off the information is posted on other new sites to keep a clarification.

Plurk and Twitter, Thing #5
Well i took A look a both and to tell ya the truth on this one........ I'm truly dumb founded at how many different net working sights are out there. Never used any of these but I will for sure be using them for bus./work; from an artist stand point it is a great avenue to get your name out there. If i had to choose from the two I would have to say Twitter is the one. The reason I say this, is from a new users stand point it seems much more applicable to get stuff out there and in the hands of more people. I also found that navigation around this site was much easier.
2. What is unique about the online journaling experience?
I found it very interesting how it is almost just putting your life on the web, but now days who doesn't just let people know whats going on.
3. Can you see this having some application to school work or professional development?
From a professional development stand point I think this could either help or ruin a career for someone depending on how it is used.
4. What are some ways that these tools could be used for evil, instead of good? Lets say someone gets access to your account i.e. good friend gone bad, a trusted bus. partner decides they are no longer liking what is going on. They can just go online and say what ever they want. I do believe this is very possible.

4. What interests and personal details will you share with your circle? Only things regarding business and things that are positive in life to keep things moving in the right direction.
5. How is professional networking different from social networking?
Social networking is fun and friends. With professional networking, I feel as if you are more focused on a career and professional information.
My Ai Portal Blog Thing # 3
I really like the E-mail optional for contacting teachers ETC. It is also very nice to see grades and updates on classes each quarter. The Extras area plus and the option to search the site for things that might come in handy for your program and many other fun stuff that might be going in the school.

RSS Thing #2
- What do you like about RSS and newsreaders?
It's a great for research and getting updates on what ever you might be interested in. - How do you think you might be able to use this technology in your school or personal life? This is great for anyone who looking for what they need and stay up to date on it.
- How can teachers or media specialists libraries use RSS or take advantage of this new technology? In this world things are always changing and people are always coming up with new ideas and ways to promote them selves or others. For teachers this almost sets up a new way to teach and keep your students up on Assignments ETC. via a blog update.
- Which tool for finding feeds was easiest to use? I just used the search engine typed in key words and found what I wanted.
- What other tools or ways did you find to locate newsfeeds? You can also go on the internet Via google search or just find the websites that are your Favorite and see if you can stay up to date.
- Find any great sources we should all add to our feed reader? If you are a music fan, well AOL full CD listening parties was great, listen to the CD before you buy it and pass it on to your friends, crazy cool for the Groups/song writers to get them selves out there. It was also very nice to find new music that you might not have listened to before.
